The Museum creates original exhibits that open in Fort Worth then travel to children's and science museums across the nation, seen by millions. Current traveling exhibits include Joshua's Journey, Risk!, and CSI: The Experience.
Guest Service Supervisor
Part Time Employment
Basic Function and Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
To support the museum’s core ideology and focus on the guest experience by giving guests the highest level of guest service. This individual will support the Guest Service Management Team in supervising, cross training, and orientation of guest services center front line staff. They will provide quality, timely and accurate support of all cash systems in support of the ticket office. Ensure that the Guest Experience staff set the tone for a positive experience for our guests.
Support the Guest Service Management Team in the supervision and leadership of all Fort Worth Museum of Science and History Guest Experience team members
Support the Guest Service Management Team with all cash transactions such as deposits, reports, balancing of safe and any other areas assigned in Ticket Office
Work as Ticket Office cashier and Guest Experience host as needed
Knowledge and proficiency in Patron Edge ticketing system, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
Proficiency in communicating ideas and new materials to a large team of part-time employees
Remain informed of and able to communicate to staff all coupon and discount programs and processes
Support the Guest Service Management Team with receiving and routing of daily school field trips
Assist the Guest Service Management Team in the continual improvement of Guest Services Operating Procedures
Enforce museum standards for guest safety, services, security, and admissions operations
Perform other duties as requested by the Guest Service Management Team
Qualifications:
2-5 years related experience in guest service and guest experience operations
Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
Ability to lift at least 35 pounds
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficiency of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to interact effectively with a diverse staff and visitor base
